Tikka Masala makes amazing Indian food and has pretty quick delivery times.

M and I tried the chicken tikka masala (figured you had to go with the namesake dish) and the lamb korma and both were excellent. You have the option to make each dish mild, medium, or hot. That said, I think they may have swapped my preferences because I ordered mild chicken and hot lamb and they DEF tasted like the opposite. Oh well, both were still fantastic.

We also got some raita and garlic naan. The naan is great BUT for the price ($3 and change), you only get one piece of naan so it's not very much. Should be $2 tops.

I used to live down the street from Guru the Caterer which is probs the best Indian in Boston and INSANELY cheap, so I'm spoiled. All in, dinner for two came to just shy of $50 before tip, but there's no delivery fee. Unfortunately, prices mean this will be an occasional takeout option for me instead of go-to.

Per my last review, I usually only order from here online, but finally made it into the store this past weekend!

The inside is a bit small, but it's nice and cozy if you are going with a small party.

The owner and all workers are extremely attentive and kind.

The prices here are not outrageous and a dinner for 2 can fall well below $45.

Recently I have been transitioning to a plant based diet and tried the vegetarian options, the tiki masala platter was full of delicious pieces as well as the yellow lentil entree.

My friend also got the Tofu tikka masala and was very pleased.

The fried tofu was amazing, that's the best tofu I have had so far and to be fair I have not had many, but damn was it good!

Tried some of the traditional indian wines they had and those were tasty as well, I look forward to coming here again soon!

    Good prices, aura, and people!

Pretty good Indian food. Good options for buffet. Please take my pickiness with a grain of salt. I really do like this place..although many dishes seem to be missing depth in flavor for which Indian food is known.

Korma & tikki masala sauces are a bit thin but the dishes are quite good. (Note: Some of photos shown here on Yelp make sauces look thicker than they are.)
Garlic naan is only ok. Really lacking in any garlic flavor or oil/ghee (dry - I add butter & garlic at home). Chutneys: Onion - basic. Mint - liquidy but pretty good. Mango chutney - good but a bit liquidy. If you're doing take out, ask which ones come with meal n/c. You might have to pay for more than one. I might be mistaken but prices seem to have skyrocketed over the past few years (Chicken Korma is $15.49). Seems like a lot to me. Buffet is the best deal, but that seems to have gone up as well.

Dinner this evening from Tikki Masala and it was okay. On a weeknight, I was the only diner in the restaurant though a few people did come in for takeaway. The restaurant is clean and tidy, comfortable seating and a nice sized table. A television on the wall is playing Indian music videos for ambiance.

Service was good at the start with my order being taken promptly and my beer being delivered immediately. I had samosas to start - they were fresh and very hot served with a selection of pickle.

Just as I was finishing my last bite, the main course arrived. A lamb jalfrezi was delicious with the right amount of spice. Flavorful and with enough lamb in there to keep it interesting. Several big and small bony pieces did need to be picked out but the onions and peppers were tasty and went well on the basmati rice.

Garlic naan was excellent. Very nicely prepared, thin and crunchy and burned just right (no, in a good way!) from the oven. Yum!

Other than getting the appetizer almost on top of the main course, the raita I ordered never arrived. It wasn't on the bill, so it was just forgotten. And getting my check did take a good long time. Enough so that I finally just went up to the register to pay.

Summary... The dinner was good. I'd have a chicken dish next time though. The service has a little room to improve. Overall, A-OK.

I'm so sorry Tikki Masala. You've been so close to one of my go-to non-Indian spots, and I never saw you until recently. And, once I saw you, and you introduced me to your goodness, I did not take my normal crazy amount of pictures or even remember to check-in each time we've eaten here. And, for all that, I am truly sorry because you are a hidden gem and currently, our favorite Indian restaurant.

Again, please forgive me for not being able to remember the names of all the dishes, but we've tried most of the appetizers and about six or so entrees. Each has been flavorful, hearty, and most importantly, you listen to me on spice level. For some reason, most restaurants do not believe me when I say, max spiciness. I get it though, I'm sure that some people say that, and then complain about it being inedible. And, to those people, I hate you. Don't do that. If you get it, and it's too spicy, then leave a 5 star review because you couldn't handle it. It's just the right thing to do!

Anyway, I digress. Seriously, thank you for actually listening to me because you made me sweat it out, which NEVER happens. Yet, somehow, not just a punch in the mouth. You guys were able walk that fine line of spicy and flavor. Again, thank you.

So, would I recommend this place? Of course! Did you not read the review!? I don't know if it's authentic because I have no frame of reference, but Tikki Masala can hold its own with any Indian restaurant I've ever been to.

Oh, and did I mention they deliver, its right across the street from Forest Hills, and it's a great date spot. What are you waiting for, go get yo-self some!
